Individual tracks
Innovative biopharmaceuticals and biomedicine have great potential for developing new solutions in the field of preserving and promoting human health. The academic track allows you to gain advanced knowledge covering the entire life cycle of biopharmaceuticals, from development to production, testing and use. Independent research and project led by leading scientists and experts in the field of immunotherapy, gene and cell therapy, nanotechnology, new materials, vaccines, etc. It integrates fundamental knowledge and practical skills and allows you to become a highly demanded specialist.
Modern science has opened up a number of new methods and opportunities for scientists working in various fields of classical plant sciences. The track allows you to gain research competencies in the field of cell biology, plant physiology and genetics, the search for pharmacologically active substances and the development of innovative medicines of natural origin, the creation of alternative and personalized food. Here, fundamental science meets with industrial entrepreneurship. According to the forecast of technological development, the FoodNet and HealthNet markets are among the most promising and investment-attractive areas of the NTI (National Technology Initiative) markets. The need for such specialists is growing every year.
The opening of new pharmaceutical industries, technology transfer, import substitution and fundamentally new medicines are the realities of today and the trends of the future. The track is aimed at training specialists capable of ensuring environmentally safe pharmaceutical production, studying and preventing the negative effects of man-made environmental pollution on the human body, and developing approaches to the development of "green" industries.

Why are you studying, what knowledge and skills do you want to acquire?
My decision to pursue a Master's degree is driven by my long-term career goal of becoming a research professor capable of unraveling various mechanisms involved in cancer development and designing innovative treatments. Given that my Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science equipped me with knowledge of various mechanisms involved in disease development and progression, the need to improve my knowledge of drug innovation became a necessity, hence my choice of a Master's program in Biotechnology. During my Master's studies, I hope to understand the various processes involved in drug innovation, gain hands-on experience in various physicochemical methods used in drug analysis, and collaborate with faculty and other students in conducting research and publishing papers.
Why did you choose Russia and specifically Sechenov University?
Russia has actively played a huge role in the development of science and technology, producing top scientists over the years. I specifically applied to Sechenov University because of the university's vast experience in life sciences, with top-notch research conducted in many of their advanced research facilities. Furthermore, Sechenov University provides an excellent environment that fosters diversity, with people from different parts of the world, which is an integral characteristic of an excellent educational institution.
